MSN Messenger

If anyone has MSN Messenger, add "ohtar2000" to your buddy list. If I happen to be on, you might get some first hand updates! :-)

Left the house at 6am, traffic was bad, worse than expected. We had an 8:30am check in time, by 8:30am, we just got to the Bay Bridge. I called, and UCSF said no worries. We got checked in, and they've been doing blood draws, x-ray, EKG, and other (not so) fun stuff. Gill's frustrated right now because the EKG stickers can't come off until the results are reviewed, and the docs got pulled on some urgent matter, so its delayed.

We both got briefed by the head nurse on what to expect. Gillian is the first case in the morning, so she will be prepped at 7:00am. The surgery is expected to take about 3-4 hours, more or less, depending on how things are going. She will in in ICU for about a day, and depending on how well she recovers, we should be heading home after about 5 days.

Visitors? If you plan on coming for a visit, please let me know. I would have to let the staff know and get you on a list. You can email me at ron.ohta@gmail.com.

Gotta go for now.
